Joyce and Dali

If I was asked to pick out Martin Scorsese’s most Joycean film, I would immediately point to After Hours, but Scorsese paid a more direct homage to the author in his 2011 film Hugo. Joyce can be briefly spotted sitting at a table with Salvador Dali in the sequence where Hugo is being chased by Inspector Gustave and his Doberman.
